Success Keys

1. Humility - Whenever you commit mistakes you should feel an 'internal' sense of humility.

2. Acceptance - Whenever you get a piece of success you should think that you got it just because you had deserved it.

3. Hard Yards - Whenever you achieve a goal, don't get satisfied by comparing it with others' failures. Rather, try to think whether you crossed your own landmarks. Try creating new milestones in future.

Teacher's Day

Happy Teachers' Day to all of you.
My heart goes out to the teachers and professors of today on this occasion. They are the ones who are most involved in defining our destinies. They are the ones who are equally involved in nurturing us as our parents. They are the ones who feel most contented and happy when their students reach milestones. But.....do we students have the level of obligation we should have got for our teachers ? No. Do, we feel regretful when there is a humiliation of the teachers' community? No. Do, we ever bother to present greetings to our prime movers on the eve of this very special day? No.
Times have changed drastically over the last few decades. Politics have entered the colleges. Respect and love for the teachers and professors has become a part of history. The student community today treats them in as ugliest way as possible.
I remember an instance from Mahabharata, which my grandmother used to tell me. When Eklavya had learnt the skills of archery from guru Dronacharya, he asked him to turn over his right thumb as guru-dakshina. He then handicapped himself by severing his thumb and donated the thumb to Drona.
I know that today nobody can do as much sacrifice to his guru as Eklavya did. I am not asking ourselves to donate our thumb to our gurus (in fact, it will be of no use to them either :P) . I just want the student community to have a corner of respect for our teachers. I just want ourselves to realize the importance of guru-shishya relationship.

Welcome note.

Hello and welcome to you on my first blog-post. Had been thinking to start a blog for quite a while. Finally, the day has come and I have managed to start one. Although I would love to publish posts on a variety of topics, but my ultimate aim of creating this blog is to discuss on the challenging issues facing our society and country. You are most welcome to share your suggestions and ideas with me for making this blog better. Thanks.
